Where indulgence took centre stage
How we brought a gourmet chocolate and patisserie experience to one of Chennai’s most iconic spaces.
The Brief
Long before Chennai had its wave of artisanal dessert bars, Sathyam introduced Ecstasy, a premium chocolate and pâtisserie studio envisioned as a refined experience for cinema-goers to enjoy before or after a film.
The concept was led by acclaimed French pastry chef Mickael Besse, and featured modern, minimal creations made with Valrhona chocolate. This wasn’t an extension of concession snacks, it was a category-defining destination in itself.
Decadence is in the details
From the precision of the pastries to the elegance of the interiors, Ecstasy was crafted to offer a sensorially rich, elevated experience.
We reflected this aesthetic in the packaging, deep chocolate browns paired with an all-green carry bag that stood out with quiet confidence. With nothing but the Ecstasy logo, the bag
became a visual signature for the brand: clean, minimal,
and unmistakably premium.
The Result
Ecstasy became one of the city’s first truly gourmet patisserie brands, setting a new standard in taste, presentation, and identity.
A project that let design and detail do the talking.
