Recipe for happiness How we helped a modern food brand bring the joy of cooking back into the kitchen.
The Brief
Cookd set out to solve the world’s most common culinary question: “What’s for food?” With its range of easy-to-follow recipes and ready-to-cook products, from Fried Chicken Kits and Biryani Kits to Pallipalayam Masala and Highway Dhaba Curry Mix, Cookd aimed to make cooking simple, flavourful, and fun again.
The brand stood for empowerment in the kitchen, helping anyone, regardless of time or skill, feel confident creating restaurant-quality meals at home. Our challenge was to translate that sense of ease, joy, and authenticity into a packaging system that would stand out in a cluttered category .
The Idea
We found inspiration in the brand’s essence itself, joyful, flavourful, and full of personality. The Cookd logo already carried strong recall,
so we decided to amplify its energy.
The ‘C’ became a bold visual mnemonic, playful yet powerful, and central to every design touchpoint. Combined with the warm tagline “Recipe for Happiness”, the identity now carried the right mix of approachability and appetite appeal.
The Design
Each product range was given its own visual rhythm, distinct yet unmistakably part of the Cookd family. The food photography was styled to feel warm, real, and drool-worthy, showcasing textures, ingredients, and freshness without artifice.
The tone stayed vibrant and youthful, speaking directly to the brand’s core audience, the under 40 home cook who values both taste and time.
The Result
The new packaging and identity positioned Cookd as a kitchen ally, not just a product. It brought together clarity, authenticity, and the brand’s cheerful personality, turning every pack into a reminder that great food begins with the right attitude.
